Brief Description
The Central Advisory Committee constituted by the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) advises the Government on various aspects of trafficking in human beings. The Secretary of the MWCD is the chairperson of the Committee and it has representatives of Central Ministries, concerned State Governments, National Commission for Women, National Human Rights Commission, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Central Social Welfare Board, National Institute for Public Cooperation and Child Development, non-governmental organizations and international organizations such as UNIFEM, UNICEF and UNODC.
